Blake Hamilton · Photographer + creative partner
Curiosity got me here.
I'm a Kansas City-based photographer and creative partner helping businesses and brands turn good ideas into images, motion, and websites that feel unmistakably their own.
The short version
I make the work useful. I make the process human.
The best creative work does more than look polished. It gives a brand a clearer point of view, gives people something to connect with, and gives your team assets they can actually use. I bring art direction, production, and a practical problem-solving mindset to every project—without making the process feel heavier than it needs to.
How I got here
A less-than-straight line to the camera.
Photography has been the constant through every chapter. The route I took added a few other things I still use every day: systems thinking, creative direction, adaptability, and a healthy respect for a good plan.

01
It started with a little zoom camera.
A third-grade trip to Costa Rica turned beach and jungle snapshots into an obsession. Years later, a Canon T3i and a lot of sunset-chasing made it stick.

02
Engineering taught me how to solve.
I earned a mechanical engineering degree and worked in the field for two years. It still shapes how I plan productions, untangle constraints, and build reliable systems.
-
03
Wonder Wonder made creativity immersive.
I co-founded an experiential art company built around discovery and photo-worthy installations, while making brand and lifestyle work for Wonder Wonder and Made in KC.

Then the camera became the whole job.
I moved into photography full time, including years as Made in KC's in-house photographer. Today, Blamilton Creative brings that curiosity and commercial experience to businesses and brands of every size.
What that looks like
Clean when it needs to be. Curious when it can be.
The work moves between people, products, food, spaces, motion, and websites. The throughline is a clear idea, thoughtful craft, and enough personality to be remembered.

Good work starts with the right questions.
I ask questions early, stay collaborative, and keep the process clear from first conversation through final delivery.
